Water cycle studies and projects

Studies of hydrological planning, delimitation, protection and management of hydraulic public domain, adequacy and compliance with the dam regulations, maintenance and dams rehabilitation, construction projects of dams, collection works, water supply and transport, sanitation works, purification and desalination, irrigation infrastructures, etc.

STUDIES AND DESIGNS IMPROVEMENT IN THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND NAVIGATION OF THE CHANNEL ACCESS TO BARRANQUILLA PORT UP TO THE PIMSA SECTOR. COLOMBIA.

Detailed preparation of the Studies and Designs, along with all the pre-contractual documents that allow the contracting of the works and the fixing, management, budgeting, processing and procurement of all requirements, permits and environmental authorizations, that are relevant for the construction of the works, applying all the regulations related not only to the technical component, but also to the environmental and socioeconomic one.

The study is carried out in two different scenarios: SCENARIO 1, studies regarding to the original state of the channel, and SCENARIO 2, prospective future studies. The scope of the project covers about 38 km.

FINAL STUDY AND TECHNICAL FILE OF THE PROJECT: EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENT OF DRINKING WATER SYSTEMS AND SEWAGE OF SEVERAL SECTORS IN NEW RINCONADA – DISTRICTS SAN JUAN DE MIRAFLORES, VILLA MARÍA DEL TRIUNFO Y VILLA EL SALVADOR. PERU.

The aim of this work is to carry out, taking the pre-investment phase study as a base, the Profile, Definitive Study and the Technical File at Work level. Considering the proposed designs by the previous project “Header and piping works for the Lima supply of drinking water” for those infrastructures that involve both projects.

The work which was done covering the supply pipes Technical File drafts of the 3 fronts in which the project is divided: Front 1, Front 2 and Front 3.

Beneficiary population within these sectors of 313,971 Inhabitants

CHARACTERISATION RIVER STUDIES FOR THE UPPER BASIN OF THE BOGOTA RIVER. COLOMBIA.

The aim of this contract is summarized in the following points:

  • Developing the necessary technical studies to advance the works of hydraulic adequacy of the upper basin of the Bogotá River in the main channel.
  • Performing fluvial analysis geomorphology and dynamics of the Bogotá River downs basin;
  • Performing Flood hazard analysis of current third-order priority of the upper basin, half of Bogotá River, corresponding to the Neusa, Teusaca, Frío, Chicú, Balsillas and Soacha rivers.
  • Developing the technical guide for the hydraulic adequacy and environmental restoration of surface water flows from the upper basin of the Bogotá River.

This study is developed in the Department of Cundinamarca with direct influence in 40 municipalities. The lengths of the tributaries studied:  Teusacá: 68,9 Km; Chicú: 22,4 Km; Checúa: 17,0 Km and Neusa: 28,2 Km

DRAFTING OF THE OPERATING RULES AND EMERGENCY PLANS OF THE ALARCON AND CONTRERAS DAMS. MUNICIPALITIES OF ALARCON, VILLARGORDO DEL CABRIEL AND MINGLANILLA. SPAIN.

Updating the dams and reservoirs of Alarcon and Contreras, to fulfill with current regulations.

  • Updating the basic studies of the exploitation and studies of the hydraulic behavior.
  • Environmental adaptation studies.
  • Preparation of the RULES OF OPERATING and EMERGENCY PLANS.
  • Proposed ACTIONS and Drafting of SAFETY REPORTS.

NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR AN INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF WATER RESOURCES REGARDING TO CLIMATE CHANGE IN URUGUAY. PLANAGUA PROJECT. URUGUAY.

Development of the Hydrological Plan of Uruguay with adaptation to climate variability and climate change studies, model rainfall-runoff transformation, uses and demands, farm management for various horizons, criteria, strategies, guidelines and investment program: all documents for planning studies are developed. Also is, especially extreme events. Additionally, the needs to improve the monitoring network are detected and a new network is designed. Procedures necessary information exchanges between meteorological agencies are also designed.

PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY STUDIES OF CERTAIN WATER HARNESSING OPTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED IN THE NATIONAL HYDROLOGIC PLAN. NORTH AND DUERO BASIN DISTRICTS. MODIFICATION, AND COMPLEMENTARY STUDIES. SPAIN.

The aim of work was to study the technical and economic feasibility of resource transfers, among the following Spanish basins:

North II – Ebro 200 hm3/ year, Alto Duero – Ebro 200 hm3/ year, Duero – Tajo – A. T. S. (Aqueduct Tajo-Segura) 505 hm3/ year and Tajo – A. T. S.250 hm3/ year. In addition, a transfer of 150 hm3/ year from North II to the Duero was considered.

The destination of the 755 hm3/ year derived from the A. T. S. Would Be: Alto Guadiana 220 hm3/ year, Guadalquivir 100 hm3/ year, South 105 hm3/ year, Safe 275 hm3/ year and Jucar 55 hm3/ year.

These transfers were complemented with other schemes defined in the framework of the National Hydrological Plan Report.
