INTERPRETATION BOOTH AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF BANCO POPULAR IN MADRID.

The project has consisted of the manufacture of two housings, top and bottom, for the coating of the horizontal faces of the prismatic volume of the booth. Each of the housings consists of 3 GFRP panels of curved geometry and large dimensions: 7,50 m (length) x 1,10 m (width). The panels don’t exceed 120 kg in weight and have fire-retardant properties. The manufacture has been carried out in our plant in Tecnobahía, (El Puerto de Santa María) by vacuum assisted resin infusion.

NORMAN FOSTER FOUNDATION INSPIRATION PAVILION COVER.

La FUNDACIÓN NORMAN FOSTER se encuentra ubicada en pleno barrio de Salamanca en Madrid. En un palacete de 1902, diseñado por Joaquín Saldaña y rehabilitado por el propio Norman Foster. En sus jardines se ha construido el PABELLÓN DE LA INSPIRACIÓN. Un edificio de 200 m2, de estructura metálica y cerramientos de vidrio estructural. Su cubierta ligera y con forma de ala de avión, ha sido fabricada e instalada por CARBURES con paneles de GFRP.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

BRISE-SOLEIL parts rolled section GFRP  carbon reinforced polymer epoxy carbon fiber consist of  two layers of unidirectional fabric 150 g / m2 each, Oriented to +45′ and -45′, wire 50-type k, and glass epoxy, biaxial layers of 90′ and +/-45′ percentages of 60/40 bulk fiber in both cases, and carbon fiber reinforced polymer PET + FR100 core GFRP 200 kg / m3 density, manually manufactured from placement or semi-braided, and cured in an oven or at room temperature with vacuum pressure. UV-resistant epoxy resin. Finish with clear varnish and UV protection.
